Hello! My name is Abigail Stetter. I am a first year student at the University of California Irvine. I am from the Midwest, specifically Wisconsin, and I’ve been there all my life. My major is Environmental Engineering although I plan on adding a minor in global sustainability because I have a deep interest in the protection of the environment. Intensive Writing, Disney and the Social Construction of Gender

This class will be focuses on reading, talking, and writing about how Disney films teach us how to think about gender roles. This will done done by using movies with both female and male heroines. The course questions we are focusing on are "How do Disney films contribute to the construction of society's values and norms about gender roles? Have these values changed over time?"
