WRITING SHOWCASE

 This is from a review I did of a classmates introduction paragraphs describing improvements of thesis and further developments of their essay.

I feel like this excerpt from a review of a peers introduction paragraphs shows a good piece of advice I gave because I gave good examples of how to improve their writing and how to make their ideas clearer. I chose this one because I feel like this one is the most informative one I gave so which improvement in my peer review skills which is a course objective. I’ve learned a lot from peer reviewing as it gives me a good look at what others got from the same assignment which allows me to get more perspectives. I learned that the more I review others' work the more certain and confident I am in working on my own because I have a clearer picture of the objectives of the assignment.

 This is from the exploratory writing on “Beauty and the Beast”. It reviews The paragraph I wrote about the film.

This is the best advice given to me. It is from the first film annotations and exploratory writing. I chose this as the best advice I got because it gave me a great base for the rest of the films I was going to annotate. This advice gives me a good idea of what people are understanding about my writing and how to improve my communication through written media which connects to the course objective improving written literacy and communication skills across several media, written being one of those media types. From this peer review I learned that it’s important to have multiple reviews throughout the writing process to ensure you are getting your point across and if you're not you need to stop and rethink your written communication.
